Music
The goal of Mata's Music program is to enrich students in a fun-filled atmosphere that provides tools for life-long appreciation of music. Music class includes singing, body percussion, creative movement and folk dancing, as well as playing the recorder and a wide range of percussion instruments. Students also learn the fundamentals of reading music.
Mata's Music program is highly based on the Orff-Schulwerk method of teaching that provides students many opportunities to be creative while making music.
