TAG

Talented and Gifted

In the elementary school, TAG is an enrichment academic pull-in program which meets the needs of students who have demonstrated complex thinking skills and a need for academic challenge and rigor. Identified students spend a minimum of two hours once a week in the G/T classroom. The students who excel in the program are usually those who are self-motivated, creative and able to demonstrate critical thinking skills.

The instruction focuses on developing student proficiency in depth and complexity, critical thinking, problem solving, creative and productive thinking, research, and developing innovative products that reflect individuality, promote discovery learning and creativity, and are advanced in relation to students of similar age, experience or environment, and nurture students to develop their potential and abilities.
