Shannon Thompson

I have worked in education most of my life, teaching private preschool for seven years, technology applications for three years and fourth and fifth grade reading, language arts and social studies for four years. I have been lucky enough to work as a Library Media Specialist for DISD since 2011, and there is no other place or job I would rather dedicate myself to!

All individuals can learn by observing, inquiring, participating and desiring. My goal is to help all students and staff find resources that will spark desire and inquiry, and will help establish a love of discovery to last a lifetime.

The Dallas area has been my home for more than 30 years. I live northeast of Dallas with my husband, two daughters, and a menagerie of animals: three furry feline friends, our ball pythons Nagini and Crawley, our puppy Chico and one hermit crab.
